YOUR HANDS DESERVE THE TRUTH

YOUR HANDS DESERVE THE TRUTH

Your gloves are the most direct connection between you and your motorcycle.

Your hands are incredibly sensitive.

A poorly fitting glove doesn’t just feel uncomfortable — it directly affects your throttle control, clutch precision, and overall riding confidence.

Every vibration, every input, passes through your hands.

That’s why the right fit isn’t luxury — it’s safety.

When You Fall, Your Hands Go First

In almost every crash, the instinct is the same — you reach out to break your fall.

That’s why palm protection is critical.

Among all protective features, the palm slider might be the most underrated.

It absorbs the initial impact when your hand hits the ground and, at higher speeds, helps you slide instead of catching on asphalt — drastically reducing wrist and scaphoid injuries.

Unfortunately, many glove manufacturers spend most of their design budget on the visual side — the back of the hand — because it sells better.

But when you fall, it’s your palm side that saves you.

And most riders, driven by looks and price, unknowingly choose gloves without palm sliders — leaving their hands dangerously exposed.

Fit That Stays — When It Matters Most

There’s another hidden danger: gloves that come off too easily.

It’s the same logic as a helmet chin strap — if it slips off during a crash, it’s worthless.

A glove that’s “easy to wear” is often easy to lose in an accident.

Convenience at the store can turn into disaster on the road.

Wearing loose gloves is like riding with your boots unbuckled — comfortable at first, until it’s too late.

So ask yourself:

“Would my gloves stay on if I hit the ground?”

If you’re unsure, the CE certification will tell you.

What CE Certification Really Means

Under the EN 13594 standard, certified gloves are tested for:

    •    Abrasion resistance — how the material survives sliding on asphalt

    •    Impact absorption — how effectively the protectors reduce shock

    •    Toxicity and skin safety — ensuring no harmful substances touch your skin

    •    Retention strength — how securely the glove stays on during impact

It’s easy to underestimate this.

Two gloves may look identical, both made from polyester —but that doesn’t mean they are the same.
The polyester used in CE-certified gloves is engineered for abrasion resistance, not for fashion or comfort.

Without CE certification, there’s no guarantee that the material isn’t the same kind of fragile polyester used in your everyday T-shirt —which could tear apart instantly when sliding on asphalt.

Appearance means nothing if the materials can’t survive the slide.

FIVE — Protection in Every Model

At FIVE Gloves, even our most affordable street model includes a palm slider —a feature many brands only include on gloves above RM400.

That’s not a coincidence; it’s a philosophy.

For adventure and touring models where riders prefer flexibility over hard armor, FIVE integrates Kevlar®, SuperFabric®, and other advanced textiles to ensure protection without compromise.

Because true safety isn’t about how your gloves look —it’s about how they perform when everything goes wrong.

Protect What Connects You.

Your gloves are not just gear — they are the interface between your body and your machine.
They control, they protect, they define your feel on the road.

Treat them as what they really are:
